Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek pospolity, szeroko rozmieszczony w północnej części Holarktyki, w Europie, w miarę posuwania się na południe, coraz rzadziej spotykany, a na północy sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce, chociaż nie znany jeszcze ze wszystkich krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju. Znajdowany zarówno na padlinie większych, jak i mniejszych zwierząt.
