Taxon description
W Polsce nie należy do rodzinnych elementów naszej fauny. Skalski w 1982 r. przywiózł z Pirenejów 50 samców i 50 samic tego podziemnego chrząszcza i wypuścił w jaskini Dzwonnica w Górach Towarnych koło Częstochowy. Tu w ciągu kilku lat zaaklimatyzował się i w 1990 r. spotykany jest często we wszystkich częściach jaskini.
