Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej części Europy, we Francji i w północnych Włoszech, na wschód sięgający po południowe tereny europejskiej części byłego ZSRR. W Polsce notowany tylko z siedmiu południowych krain. Zamieszkuje brzegi rzek i potoków oraz mokre łąki i pobrzeża wilgotnych lasów. Żyje na olszy szarej — Alnus incana (L.) Mnch. oraz na olszy zielonej — A viridis (Chaix) Lam. et Dc, rosnącej w strefie kosodrzewiny, u nas w Bieszczadach. Rozwój larwalny jak u Anoplus plantaris (Naezen). Imago zimuje w ściółce liściastej i wśród mchów na pniach.
