Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek europejski, rozsiedlony w południowej i środkowej części kontynentu. Gatunek zastępujący A. nigriscutis Foudr., który ma bardziej wschodni typ rozsiedlenia. W Polsce występuje z całą pewnością na zachód od Wisły. Z okolic Przemyśla wykazany przez T. Trellę (1930d), ale później (1936) ten sam autor skreślił omawiany gatunek z wykazu chrząszczy tego regionu. Stanowisko z Roztocza wymaga sprawdzenia, zwłaszcza że współcześnie na Zamojszczyźnie był łowiony tylko A. nigriscutis Foudr. Żeruje na wilczomleczach — Euphorbia L., najczęściej poławiany na wilczomleczu sosnce — E. cyparissias L.
