Taxon description
Gatunek ponto-pannoński, występujący w południowo-wschodniej Europie oraz lokalnie na reliktowych, izolowanych stanowiskach w Europie środkowej. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadki, znany tylko z trzech krain południowych. Znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi na pobrzeżach lasu, w murszejącym drewnie dębu i w detrytnsie pokrytym opadłymi liśćmi.
