Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, w Europie borealno-górski, zamieszkujący głównie środkową Europę i Fennoskandię, na zachód docierający do Francji, a na południe do północnych części Włoch i Bałkanów. W Polsce dość pospolity w południowej części kraju. Według A. Horiona (1965) omyłkowo wykazany z Gdańska (Lentz 1879) oraz z Prus (Dommer 1850, G. Zebe 1852, Lentz 1857, 1879) na podstawie błędnie oznaczonego Baptolinus affinis (Paykull). Znajdowany w środkowej Europie przeważnie pod korą drzew iglastych, rzadziej buków, w Szwecji zaś pod korą obumierających brzóz.
