Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek zamieszkujący Europę środkową i północną, w Fennoskandii docierający do koła podbiegunowego. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko notowany, znany tylko z pojedynczych stanowisk w sześciu krainach, przy tym w Gdańsku i Szczecinie poławiany przed przeszło 120 laty i od tego czasu powtórnie nie znaleziony. Zasiedla szlamisto-piaszczyste i ilaste pobrzeża stawów i strumieni.
