Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej Europie i w południowej części środkowej Europy. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko spotykanym, łowionym na kilku stanowiskach kserotermicznych w południowej części kraju i w Bielinku nad Odrą. Występuje głównie na glebach wapiennych i lokalnie na nasłonecznionych stokach i pobrzeżach lasów oraz przy podstawie pojedynczo stojących drzew. Znajdowany w kępach traw, pod opadłymi liśćmi i wśród mchów.
