Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Szeroko rozpowszechniony gatunek w północnej części Palearktyki oraz we wschodniej części Ameryki Północnej. Inne dane z Afryki, Ameryki Południowej i Australii odnoszą się do innych gatunków. W Polsce, prócz wyższych partii górskich, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze. Znajdowany na wilgotnych, szlamistych pobrzeżach wód, w pryzmach kompostowych, pod gnijącymi resztkami roślinnymi i nawozem na polach uprawnych.
