Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek zamieszkujący w południowej i środkowej części kraju, notowany ponadto z Danii i północnego Kazachstanu. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, wykazany z nielicznych stanowisk rozproszonych w różnych częściach kraju. Jako rośliny żywicielskie podawane są lepnice — Silene L., mydlnica lekarska — Saponaria officinalis L. i sporek polny — Spergula arvensis L. Podawane przez niektórych autorów informacje o żerowaniu na roślinach spoza rodziny goździkowatych są zwykle kwestionowane.
