Taxon description
Gatunek europejski, szeroko rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich, południowych prowincji Fennoskandii i Karelii przez Europę środkową aż do Francji, Włoch środkowych, Dalmacji i Grecji. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk w trzech krainach. Znajdowany w hubach na drzewach liściastych oraz w przegrzybiałym i czerwono butwiejącym drewnie, zwłaszcza buków i dębów.
