Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986b:
Gatunek występujący w Europie południowej i zachodniej oraz na ciepłych stanowiskach w południowej części Europy Środkowej, wykazywany także z Madery, Azorów i Kaukazu. Występowanie tego termofilnego gatunku w Polsce wymaga potwierdzenia, gdyż w zbiorach muzealnych brak okazów dowodowych (Bielawski 1962). Istnieje jednak możliwość odkrycia go w południowej części Polski, gdyż notowano go z Moraw i Podola. Bionomia i wymagania ekologiczne nie są dobrze poznane. Poławiano tego chrząszcza głównie metodą czerpakowania z głogów, drzew owocowych, zwłaszcza jabłoni oraz ze starego bluszczu.
