Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w północnej Europie, gdzie w Fennoskandii dociera do skrajnych prowincji północnych, w środkowej Europie spotykany rzadko i sporadycznie, notowany również z Ameryki Północnej. Rozsiedlenie poznane niedostatecznie, gdyż często samice omawianego gatunku mylono z samicami Colon (Colon) viennense Herbst. Z Polski wykazany z kilku stanowisk południowych. Według W. Szymczakowskiego (1969, 1969b) omyłkowo notowany z Zakrzówka koło Krakowa (Rybiński 1903) na podstawie błędnego oznaczenia Colon (Myloechus) dentipes (Sahlb.), ponadto dane ogólnikowe z byłych Prus (G. Zebe 1852, Schilsky 1888, 1909, Reitter 1909) odnoszą się do stanowisk leżących poza naszą granicą. G. Czwalina (1885) omawiany gatunek w ogóle skreśla z listy fauny Prus, gdyż okazy dowodowe należały do Colon (Colon) viennense Herbst. Bionomia omawianego gatunku nie zbadana.
