Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
[KFP — (1348d): Elonium pennifer lateralis] Notowany przez H. Lgockiego na podstawie dwu okazów znalezionych w odchodach bydlęcych, jednak autor swą wzmiankę opatruje uwagą, że oznaczenia tych chrząszczy były niepewne. Jacentkovskij (1912b) odnosi te dane do Elonium pennifer araxis (Reitt.), co jednak jest jeszcze mniej prawdopodobne.
Burakowski et al. 1979:
[KFP — (1348b): Elonium pennifer] Gatunek występujący w kilku podgatunkach rozmieszczonych głównie w Azji Środkowej, Azji Mniejszej, na Kaukazie i w południowo-wschodniej Europie. Z Polski wykazywano dwa z tych podgatunków, oba prawdopodobnie błędnie.
Burakowski et al. 1979:
[KFP — (1348c): Elonium pennifer araxis] Wątpliwe dane H. Lgockiego o Elonium pennifer lateralis (Fauv.) odnosi Jacentkovskij (1912b) do tego podgatunku, bez zbadania okazów dowodowych. Doniesienie to jest nieprawdopodobne, gdyż podgatunek znany jest tylko z Kaukazu i Krymu.
