Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
[KFP 3439: Cryptophagus postpositus] Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej Europie, notowany także z jednej prowincji południowej Szwecji, z Afryki Północnej, Kaukazu i Syberii. W Polsce należy do rzadkości; notowany tylko z dwu miejscowości. Występuje jako synantrop w ciągu całego roku w mieszkaniach, piwnicach, stodołach, szopach i gołębnikach — na psujących się artykułach spożywczych, w gnijącej słomie, sieczce, plewach oraz wśród ekskrementów gołębich.
