Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozmieszczony głównie w górach południowej części Europy środkowej, na południe docierający do Dalmacji, Włoch północnych i Rumunii, notowany poza tym z Alzacji. W Polsce chrząszcz bardzo rzadko spotykany, notowany zaledwie z kilku stanowisk położonych w trzech krainach. Stanowisko na Roztoczu winno być jednak potwierdzone nowymi materiałami, gdyż brak jest w zbiorach okazów dowodowych. Wymagania ekologiczne słabo poznane; poławiany przeważnie pod kamieniami i w napływkach popowodziowych.
