Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek występujący w całej strefie tropikalnej, skąd był zawleczony z różnymi towarami do kilku krajów europejskich, głównie w zachodniej części kontynentu (Anglia, Francja, Holandia, Belgia). W Polsce prawdopodobnie nie zaaklimatyzował się. Żeruje na różnych suchych produktach pochodzenia roślinnego.
