Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek znany głównie ze środkowej części Europy, docierający na północ do Anglii i południowych prowincji Szwecji, notowany poza tym z nielicznych stanowisk we Francji, Włoszech, w Szwajcarii i Siedmiogrodzie. W Polsce wykazywany z na ogół pojedynczych stanowisk w dziewięciu tylko krainach. Larwy żyją w czerwono butwiejącym drewnie dębu, porażonego pasożytniczym grzybem, żołdakiem siarkowym — Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr.; były notowane również z klonu, wiązu i wierzby. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się w maju i bywają poławiane do sierpnia.
