Taxon description
Rzadko spotykany gatunek europejski, notowany z Hiszpanii, południowej i środkowej Francji, Ligurii we Włoszech, Dalmacji, Rumunii, Austrii, Węgier, Słowacji i Polski. W Polsce należy do rzadkości; jest znany dotychczas tylko z trzech krain. Cykl rozwojowy i bionomia tego chrząszcza nie są znane. W Polsce poławiany na topoli białej — Populus alba L., na Słowacji i w Rumunii na topoli czarnej — P. nigra L., a we Francji ponadto na wierzbie białej — Salix alba L.
