Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w całej Palearktyce, notowany również z Ameryki Północnej, Argentyny, środkowej Azji i Indii. W Europie sięga daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, w miarę posuwania się na południe coraz rzadziej spotykany. W Polsce występuje dość pospolicie w różnych środowiskach, zwłaszcza synantropijnych, ale stosunkowo rzadko wykazywany. Znajdowany w pryzmach kompostowych, nawozie, grzybach, pod padliną i gnijącymi szczątkami roślinnymi.
