Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek obejmujący swym zasięgiem tereny nizinne i podgórskie, głównie w środkowej części Europy. Na zachód dociera do środkowej Francji, a na południe do Włoch, Bośni i Bułgarii, poza tym znany z nielicznych stanowisk w Anglii, Danii i południowej Szwecji, wykazywany również z Kaukazu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk, przy tym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Występuje w grzybach, zwłaszcza w żagwi łuskowatej — Polyporus squamosus (Huds.) Fr. i w łuskowcu jelenim — Pluteus cervinus (Schaeff.) Fr., poza tym znajdowany wśród rozkładającego się, pleśniejącego listowia pod wierzbami i topolami oraz w napływkach nad stawami i na pobrzeżach rzek.
