Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w Fennoskandii, notowany nadto z Danii i Litwy, na południe docierający do Niemiec, Czech, Moraw, Słowacji i Austrii. Z Polski wykazany na podstawie pojedynczych okazów złowionych na dwu stanowiskach w Bieszczadach. Biologia i wymagania ekologiczne nie są dostatecznie poznane; w Bieszczadach znaleziony na wysokościach 750 i 950 m n.p.m. w owocniku opieńki — Armillariella Karst. na buku oraz żagwi łuskowatej — Polyporus squamosus (Huds.) Fr. na pniu jaworu.
