Taxon description
Gatunek rozmieszczony w środkowej i północnej Europie, gdzie w Szwecji dociera do skrajnych, północnych prowincji, a na kontynencie do wyższych partii górskich. W środkowej Europie w miarę posuwania się na południe coraz rzadziej spotykany. Występuje w wodach stojących, niekiedy w znacznej ilości.
