Taxon description
Gatunek środkowoeuropejski, na zachód sięgający do Belgii i Francji wschodniej, a na południe do północnych części Włoch i Półwyspu Bałkańskiego. W Polsce dość rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany, znany tylko z sześciu krain. Chrząszcz ciepłolubny, zasiedlający gleby w pobliżu wód. Postacie dorosłe poławiane są w maju i czerwcu na trawach i krzewach, na przykład na różach, kalinie, głogu i czeremsze.
