Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową, zachodnią i środkową część Europy, sięgający na północ po Danię i południowe obszary Fennoskandii, docierający na wschód do Syberii i Kaukazu. W Polsce ryjkowiec ten został odkryty dopiero niedawno. Występuje na polach, łąkach, suchych zboczach i w widnych zaroślach. Żyje na groszku żółtym — Lathyrus pratensis L., wyce ptasiej — Vicia cracca L. i wyce długożagielkowej — V. tenuifolia Roth.
