Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony głównie w środkowej Europie, wykazywany ponadto z Bośni, Bałkanów i Armenii. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany, znany z kilku zaledwie stanowisk. Warunki ekologiczne słabo zbadane, według A. Horiona (1949) ma występować na piaszczystych pobrzeżach rzek zwłaszcza w terenach górzystych.
