Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku obejmuje zachodnią, południową i środkową część Europy, wykazywany też z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w siedmiu krainach. Postacie dojrzałe pojawiają się w kwietniu i występują do lipca; spotyka się je głównie na różnych gatunkach dębów. W kwietniu-czerwcu samice składają jaja pojedynczo do sporządzonych przez siebie zagłębieniach na jednorocznych pędach. Larwy żerują w pędach, w których również zimują. Przeobrażenie larwy następuje w glebie wczesną wiosną.
