Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek orientalny, pochodzący z południowo-wschodniej Azji, opisany z Cejlonu, zawleczony do Europy przypuszczalnie na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Obecnie występuje w prawie całej Europie, na północy w Norwegii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce niedawno odkryty, znany dotychczas tylko z dwu stanowisk, ale na pewno szerzej rozsiedlony. Gatunek synantropijny, występujący w pryzmach kompostowych, gdzie procesy fermentacyjne utrzymują podwyższoną temperaturę środowiska.
