Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w krajach śródziemnomorskich, południowej i środkowej części Europy, w Azji Mniejszej i Azji Środkowej. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Jako rośliny żywicielskie podawano w piśmiennictwie różne gatunki z rodzajów dziewanna — Verbascum L. i trędownik — Scrophularia L.
