Taxon description
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozsiedleniu ogólnym, notowany ze wschodniej części Europy Środkowej, Kaukazu i Krymu. W Polsce kornik należący do rzadkości, znany jedynie z Gdańska i Pienin. Opada głównie leżące martwe, przegrzybiałe pnie i gałęzie kruszyny pospolitej — Frangula alnus Mill., rzadziej leszczyny, czeremchy i klonu. Żerowisko wieloramienne, podłużne, wygryzione głęboko w bielu.
