Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Obszar rozsiedlenia tego gatunku jest ograniczony głównie do krajów środkowoeuropejskich; notowano go również z Danii i południowych prowincji Szwecji. W Polsce jest ryjkowcem mało znanym; wykazano go u nas po raz pierwszy w 1976 roku z jednego stanowiska, następnie z kilku stanowisk w czterech krainach w latach 1982, 1987, 1994 i 1996. Zamieszkuje pola, przydroża, żwirowiska, piaszczyste miejsca ruderalne i skały. Żyje na lnicy pospolitej — Linaria vulgaris (L.) Mill. Larwa żeruje w lipcu-sierpniu w łodydze powodując na niej nieznaczną, wrzecionowatą wyrosi, w której również odbywa przeobrażenie w sierpniu.
