Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek zamieszkujący środkową i północną Europę, w Fennoskandii sięgający daleko poza koło podbiegunowe, na południe kontynentu docierający do północnych. Włoch i Siedmiogrodu, notowany również z Kaukazu. Z Polski notowany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk zarówno na północy, jak i na południu kraju, lokalnie niekiedy licznie poławiany. Występuje wśród butwiejących resztek roślinnych, w przesychających ekskrementach bydlęcych, w nawozie i kompoście.
