Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986a:

Gatunek palearktyczny, zawleczony także do Ameryki Południowej; w Europie rozsiedlony od krajów śródziemnomorskich aż do Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii. Występuje na ogól lokalnie, ale nieraz w miejscu pojawu poławiany w większej liczbie osobników. W Polsce bardzo rzadko znajdowany, wykazany dotychczas tylko z czterech krain. Spotykany w ciągu całego roku, ale częściej na jesieni i w zimie wśród rozkładających się szczątków roślinnych, w pryzmach kompostowych, sianie oraz słomie.
