Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek znany głównie z południowej i środkowej części Europy, notowany też z Danii, południowej Szwecji, Kaukazu, Azji Mniejszej i Iranu. W Polsce zasiedla zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górzyste, prócz wyższych partii górskich. Żyje na różnych gatunkach roślin z rodziny różowatych — Rosaceae. Postacie dojrzałe występują od kwietnia do lipca. Samice składają jaja od pierwszych dni maja, do ogonków lub głównych żyłek liściowych. Rozwój embrionalny trwa 5-8 dni, larwy — około 4 tygodni, poczwarki — 2-3 tygodnie. Przepoczwarczenie odbywa się w glebie, gdzie również zimuje imago.
