Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony w środkowej Europie i południowej części północnej Europy, notowany ponadto z Francji, Włoch i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk, przy tym dane ze Śląska Dolnego i Sudetów oparte są na znaleziskach sprzed około 70 i 100 laty, dlatego też wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami. Spotykany w pryzmach nawozu i kompostu, w inspektach, pod butwiejącymi szczątkami roślinnymi, krowieńcami i ekskrementami końskimi.
