Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl wszędzie spotykany i pospolity, lata od V do końca IX. Gąsienice o różnym ubarwieniu — od zielonego do brązowego — żerują od jesieni i po przezimowaniu na wiosnę, po czym budują płytko w ziemi słabe kokony i przepoczwarczają się. Gatunek ten występuje czasami masowo i staje się szkodnikiem upraw warzywnych.
