Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie prócz skrajnych północnych obszarów Skandynawii, sięgający na wschód po Syberię. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk, głównie z obszarów nizinnych i wyżynnych. Biologia tego gatunku podobna do biologii Eubrychius velutus (Beck) — postacie dojrzałe prowadzą wodny tryb życia, a larwy rozwijają się na wywłócznikach.
