Taxon description
Gatunek znany głównie ze środkowej Europy notowany również z nielicznych stanowisk w Anglii, Francji, Danii, południowej Szwecji, Siedmiogrodzie i Kaukazie. Z Polski dotychczas rzadko wykazywany, z wyjątkiem wysokich gór prawdopodobnie występuje w całym kraju, wynika to z uzupełniających nowych danych. Znajdowany w wilgotnym murszu wypełniającym dziuple starych drzew, często w sąsiedztwie gniazd mrówek.
