Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w prawie całej Europie z wyjątkiem jej północnych krańców. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko notowany. Występuje zarówno w nawozie, jak i w wysychających krowieńcach i ekskrementach końskich.
