Taxon description
Gatunek rozsiedlony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii aż do południowej Europy, w miarę posuwania się z zachodu na wschód coraz rzadziej spotykany. Prawdopodobnie występuje w całej Polsce, lecz brak udokumentowanych danych z wielu krain. Znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi na wilgotnych łąkach i pobrzeżach wód, w ściółce i pod mchem w lasach wilgotnych.
