Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1983:
Gatunek rozmieszczony prawie w całej Europie z wyjątkiem skrajnych północnych obszarów, notowany również z Syberii. W Polsce oprócz wysokich gór występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze, nie notowany jednak jeszcze z wielu krain. Zasiedla tereny nizinne i niższe położenia górskie. Larwy żyją w wodach stojących, postacie dorosłe ukazują się w drugiej połowie maja i są poławiane do sierpnia (maksimum pojawu w lipcu) na pobrzeżach wód na krzewach, roślinach zielnych i trawach.
