Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1997:
Gatunek występujący w północno-zachodniej Afryce, południowej i środkowej części Europy, docierający na północ po Danię oraz południowe prowincje Szwecji i Finlandii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk, zarówno na terenach nizinnych, jak i górskich. Spotykany w lasach liściastych, parkach, dolinach rzecznych i na przydrożach. Żyje na jesionie wymiosłym — Fraxinus excelsior L. i jesionie mannowym — F. ornus L. Samica składa jaja na dolnej stronie liścia w pobliżu większego nerwu. Larwy żerują na liściach wygryzając w nich małe okienka nie naruszające nerwu: przepoczwarczają się w kokonie. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano w ciągu całego roku.
