Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozpowszechniony w prawie całej Europie, zwłaszcza w jej części wschodniej, wykazywany także z Kaukazu, Zakaukazia i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce szeroko rozmieszczony, choć stosunkowo rzadko i sporadycznie poławiany. Zasiedla zarówno tereny nizinne, jak i górskie, docierając do strefy subalpejskiej. Występuje pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, ekskrementami i kamieniami, poławiany również na trawach, kwitnących bylinach i krzewach.
