Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek palearktyczny, rozpowszechniony w całej Europie, notowany ponadto z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce dość pospolity, ale niezbyt często spotykany. Występuje na niżu i w górach, gdzie dociera ponad górną granicę lasu. Znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, ekskrementami, opadłym listowiem, w ściółce i wśród mchów.
