Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986c:
Gatunek kosmopolityczny, w Europie występujący głównie w zachodniej i południowej części kontynentu, spotykany bardzo rzadko także w niektórych krajach środkowoeuropejskich, dokąd prawdopodobnie bywa zawlekany z drewnem, ale chyba nie utrzymuje się na stałe. W Polsce był notowany tylko z Gdańska na podstawie znaleziska sprzed przeszło stu lat. Zasiedla drewno szeregu drzew liściastych, gdzie prowadzi drapieżny sposób życia w chodnikach chrząszcza miazgowca — Lyctus linearis (Goeze.)
