Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1979:
Gatunek zamieszkujący południowo-wschodnią i środkową Europę. Z uwagi na skryty sposób życia wszędzie bardzo rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Żyje w gniazdach mrówek Lasius brunneus (Latr.), najczęściej w chodnikach tej mrówki zbudowanych w zmurszałym drewnie wewnątrz pni drzew liściastych; niekiedy znajdowany w sąsiedztwie gniazd w szczelinach drzewa, pod odstającą korą oraz pleśniejącym i wilgotnym listowiem przy podstawie pni.
