Taxon description
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozsiedleniu — notowany z Polski, Ukrainy, Dalmacji, Rumunii i europejskiej części Turcji; wszędzie bardzo rzadko poławiany. W Polsce znany dotychczas tylko z trzech krain. Bionomia tego ryjkowca jest poznana wyjątkowo słabo. Według L. Dieckmanna (1986) jedyna wzmianka pochodzi z Rumunii, gdzie dwa imagines znaleziono na brzegu źródła, wkrótce po stopnieniu śniegu (brzeg był porośnięty sitowiem leśnym — Scirpus silvaticus L.).
