Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Motyl równie pospolity jak poprzedni gatunek (Xantorrhoë spadicearia), występuje w dwu pokoleniach: pierwszym w V i VI, drugim w VII i VIII. Gąsienice, żerujące na wielu gatunkach roślin zielnych, jak przytulia, gwiezdnica dzwonki i innych, spotkać można od VI do IX. Zimują poczwarki w oprzędach na ziemi lub płytko w ziemi. W hodowli gatunek daje następne generacje (patrz X. spadicearia).
