Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986b:

Gatunek borealno-górski, rozprzestrzeniony w północnej i środkowej Europie oraz na Syberii, sięgający w Fennoskandii daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce dość rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w różnych częściach kraju. Występuje na drzewach iglastych, zwłaszcza na świerkach, w górach także na modrzewiach i kosodrzewinie. Odżywia się mszycami. Zimuje w ściółce i pod odstającą korą drzew.
