Europa: Anglia, Szwecja, Finlandia, Dania, Holandia, Belgia, Polska.
Podgatunek jednodomny i holocykliczny. Żyje na truskawkach — Fragaria L. sp. (hort.), na ogonkach liściowych i spodniej stronie liści. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
